Watt-Hour Metters

 

At the beginning of 90's, predicting the end of traditional metering age, led by the idea of covering the expanding need for versatile and sophisticated electric energy metering and management, RIZ watt-hour meter group was established.

The group’s program comprises single-phase electronic watt-hour meters recognized under the brand name EBMxx, three-phase of a brand name EBTxx, tariff devices, meter reading and programming solutions as well as various communication accessories.

Within its guaranteed lifetime of 20 years, RIZ Watt-hour meters require no maintenance or calibration.

They are programmable, four tariff meter intended for a direct connection, designed to be installed indoors in household and small entrepreneurship application.

Remote (via LAN, telephone or GSM connection) reading and programming of RIZ meters can be done by PC with programme ComMet2007 installed on it. Communication protocol is EURIDIS standard. Remote reading and programming may also be performed by HHU with installed appropriate programme.

Meter reading and programming is also possible by means of handheld PC unit connected to LAN terminal PK-100. Collected data is transferred to computer equipped with software and consumer data.
LAN network shown at the picture below is passive and need no power supply. It is galvanic isolated from GSM module (or handheld PC unit). Breakdown voltage is greater than 4 kV. Total connecting cable length of one network can be 500 m. Up to 100 meters can be connected to a LAN terminal PK-100.
