ADWEC - Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Company
ADWEC is the “Single Buyer and Seller” of power and water in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. ADWEC has to balance demand and supply through sales contracts on the basis of a Bulk Supply Tariff (BST) with the distribution companies and through Power and Water Purchase Agreements (PWPAs) with the generation companies. The installed capacity at the end of 2006 was 8312 MW and 668 MGD.
